Architect David Mitchell has designed a timeless residence in hand-made Danish brick, which is robust in build but offers indoor-outdoor living thanks to multiple balconies and ample natural light from three sides. Inside, the sense of space is palpable. Open-plan living areas cohabit with generously proportioned bedrooms, storage is maximised.
Award-winning interior designer Fiona Lynch has fashioned interiors that nod to the area’s Art Deco origins in a luxuriously contemporary style. Every detail has been deeply considered, including the mix of materials, finishes and shapes, offering a tactile, layered quality throughout. While the colour palette is minimal, the result is opulent, inviting and soulful.
Peter Metzner, Devloper - ARC Property, has extensive experience in fashion, design, hospitality and development of both residential and commercial properties, combining a design-led vision that considers the aesthetics and functionality for the end user in both the sensory and material sense. In the creation of La Strada his primary focus has been to ensure the entire building is truly Potts Point in every aspect.
Fiona is Australia’s premier interior designer, awarded the Vogue Living Interior Designer of the Year 2024. Among a slew of awards, the practice was recently awarded joint winner of Best Restaurant Design for Kiln at Sydney’s Ace Hotel in the 2023 Eat Drink Design Awards. In 2021, Fiona was hailed as one of the "true design influencers in the world" by Germany’s Architectural Digest.
David Mitchell Architects is a Sydney-based practice formed in 2013 by David and wife Kat Burns, demonstrating unique specialties in design, art and architecture. His focus on light, space, ventilation and materiality are central to his design practice, as is incorporating passive design and sustainable methods that lower cost, increase longevity and embody individuality in a bespoke building informed by its functionality.
Dangar Barin Smith is one of Australia’s leading residential and commercial creative landscape practices, founded in 1991by William Dangar. Naomi Barin leads the La Strada project, and with her deep horticultural knowledge has designed landscaping elements that will bring calming greenery and visual interest to both residents and the Potts Point community. Naomi has carefully considered colour, scale and environment for La Strada, with a focus on low-maintenance plants that will appeal to the senses.
